Mission accomplished! 4 custom frames for these gorgeous #firefly prints. Pine with splined corners, india ink stain, spray lacquer finish, plexi glazing. Huge thanks to @almfab.bsky.social for his how-to video on this process!

Finally getting to assemble the picture frames!

1st coat of india ink on the frames, I’m thinking 2 coats will get the desired effect

Freshley printed ABS wheels went in the dishwasher and held up perfectly for their first run, did a sanitize and extra dry cycle since that seems like the most heat they’ll see? Still can’t believe how bad the original design is on such an expensive appliance

Hahaha nope! I think contact with the side of the washer added enough heat to deform the petg wheels. Got some abs on order for another set

3D printed some wheels to fix a critical flaw in our Bosch dishwasher. Side rails would flex out and bottom tray would fall down, keeping the bottom sprayer from rotating and washing. Widened wheels/mounts by 50% in blender, printed in petg on bambulab ps1, quality of life up by 300% minimum!

Finally got all 4 frames properly rabbeted and mitered! Here they are fresh off my new spline jig 😊

Best part of having a 3d printer is being able to make stuff you can’t buy, like this little bit holder for yellow drills

So stoked for Promise Mascot Agency !!
April 10, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Ok…maybe more like 5th time’s the charm, but this time I actually got 4 frames all glued up at once 😅 (one on the floor) next: spline jig!
April 7, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Milled em wrong the first time, cut the miters wrong the second time, third time’s the charm! Of course I ran outta wood but 3/4 of the frames are in glue-up 😅

Fresh blade and a freshly-printed zero clearance insert on the miter saw for my picture frame project!
March 29, 2025 at 7:47 PM
I cut rabbets for the first time on my tablesaw today! Making frames for some odd-sized prints we’ve had un-framed for years.

My vintage Vostock arrived from Ukraine! Got a fresh band and it’s ready to go. It’s not waterproof, the bezel timer is so loose I don’t trust it, and if I don’t wind it daily it stops running, but goddamn if it isn’t a charming little mechanical joy.

Built a little sprinkler valve hide out of leftover fence boards and 2x4’s and painted with leftover paint from my side gate project! Cut the 2x4’s into 1x1’s for a frame, fenceboards to length, glued/nailed it all. Handholes with forsner bit and multi-tool.

Finally, Avowed gives us the “Ocean’s Bounty” face/hairstyle options gamers crave.

Lovin my new print and stickers from @vreni.bsky.social
Thank you!

I started Severance and I love it. I know it probably isn’t plot-critical that he has a mechanical Soviet airborne watch but now I’m obsessed with finding a similar one for myself.

Sounds like some nerd shit to me…

Really hoping to do more guitar builds like this soon!
Misc vintage japanese semihollow body, 12” radius tele neck, half tele bridge with brass saddles, single Fender p-90, custom acrylic pickguard, matte sunset pink paint, hipshot barrel tuners, synthetic bone nut

Finally played Sizeable today, super charming with a tight aesthetic and concept, mildly challenging and rarely frustrating puzzle game you can rip through in a few hours. Bummed some levels are locked behind playing it during specific dates, woulda been really satisfying to S rank it in one sitting

Few games will stand out in my memory more than Phoenix Springs for their color palette and TEXTURE!

Made about a dozen sets of (3) spatulas for friends and family as Christmas gifts this year! They’re all my own designs made from hickory finished with beeswax. Even did a lefty set
