The AHA’s annual summer reading challenge is here!

I'm going to start by reading a book that's been on my shelf for too long. I ordered @juliehardwick.bsky.social's Sex in an Old Regime City when it came out and am excited to finally finish it.

I hope you'll join me in #AHAReads!

Unlike the rest of my family, I quite decidedly do NOT have a green thumb. But hope springs eternal, and every year I get more seeds and try again. Last year I succeeded in growing lots of peppers, so I'm more optimistic for this year! #gardening

After getting this delightful pen stand for Christmas, I've been switching between my fountain pens more often than usual, and it's really been such a treat!

Quite pleased at myself for actually having annotated this knitting pattern to make it easier to make the right front half match the left 🧶 #knitting #showmeyourknits

Happy #Caturday evening to everyone!

(Gloria probably would have preferred that I post a picture of her sleeping instead, hence her looking slightly annoyed at being woken up.)

I already own 3 copies of Jane Eyre, but I'm strongly tempted nonetheless to buy yet another.

A few years ago, a robin spent weeks trying to scare off its reflection. #addBirder #robin #birds #WorstBirdPics

This remains one of my favorite passages in any book.

My cat is definitely getting into the Christmas spirit

A few people I know got tea advent calendars last year, and it really inspired me to do the same, and Vahdam Tea is really pulling through with their choices - and with their design aesthetics! #advent #tea

show me a picture on your phone that has your energy but isn't a selfie

Yep, that's like the ones I have

While it's hard to pick a favorite, my Edison Beaumont is the only pen I've ever always kept inked - for almost 3 years now!

I've replaced the standard nib with a Franklin-Christoph EF SIG nib and an ebonite feed. It lives in this delightful bee pen sleeve.

A snowy day means it's time to get out the heating pad for my cat and cozy up

One of my #TinyJoys today is making a pot of my favorite smoky tea - extra special since it's from a local tea shop.

I recently got my first Hobonichi cover, though I'm using it for just a regular journal, not a planner. #stationery #hobonichi #journaling

You'd really think that by this point in my life, I would have learned not to start a new novel right before bed.

I normally am not a matchy-matchy person with my fountain pens or stationery, but this combo is too great to resist #hobonichi

Favorite category is fountain pens, but it'd be too hard to narrow it down to a single pen!
Otherwise, these very small Rhodia pocket notebooks (mechanical pencil for scale) that actually fit in women's pockets. They're increasingly hard to find in US so I bought DOZENS on my last trip to France

Not (obviously) going to put them all here, but: my emotions about having library books recalled is as vivid now as it was almost 3 years ago
