Insect expert @nottscoleoptera.bsky.social gave a fascinating talk this week on Hertfordshire's world-class beetles that depend on dead and rotten wood. His survey at Panshanger Park revealed the site's international importance. We've posted his lecture here: shorturl.at/UpQXU #beetles #coleoptera

Tomorrow (12 Jan) the Green House are starting up Herts Young Birders group. The event will run 10:30-12:30 & will be open to drop ins if you are just interested in saying hi!

Christmas is coming... and so therefore is the annual Herts Christmas #Bird Count! How many birds can we collectively count from 25-31 Dec?
