#Iran: The #Snapback alone will not ensure security. The regime continues to terrorise Iranians at home, its partnership of #repression with #Russia fuels insecurity beyond Iran’s boarders. We need to break the cycle of violence & fear that sustains the regime.

3 years ago, we promised not to turn our back on #Afghanistan. Today, European governments bargain with terrorists for deportations - instead of standing with Afghan women suffering under #GenderApartheid and #Taliban rule. Making us complicit.

Families in #Israel mourn the victims of October 7, while hostages remain in captivity, enduring hell. Families in #Gaza cannot grieve, more bombs are falling & settlers terrorise those in the West Bank. This violence needs to end. But 🇪🇺 responsibility does not stop with a deal.

On Monday, the @europarl.europa.eu pays tribute to the 2023 #Sakharov Prize laureate, the #WomanLifeFreedom Movement from #Iran.

The increasingly brutal actions of #Israel’s government in #Gaza and the settlements can’t remain without consequences. We need to:

➡️ Sanction ministers responsible for war crimes or inciting violence
➡️ Suspend the EU–Israel agreement

Yet, #Germany blocks #EU action on this.
