We haven’t watched it yet because I told the kids i thought I should watch it first…. And I haven’t watched it…. So when he said that there were 3 kids in my row encouraging me to heed the preaching. 😂 (we have some who get scared / have nightmares and reviews haven’t given me peace on that issue)

Do you think part of that is because culturally we are so accustomed to treating Black people as a monolith that we need to be expressly told to treat Black children as individuals?

Past 20 it’s impossible in my experience. One year I had enough kids move without more coming in (unethical charter school practices 😂) that I had 12 kids by the end of the year. Impractical but that’s so ideal.

Gifted and accelerated are different things. Sometimes students should have both, sometimes one or the other….. but they aren’t the same thing….

And that's why homeschoolers are fighting it. They don't want a registry. As someone who was homeschooled and did homeschool for awhile, that attitude is so scary to me! Lots more interesting things with this of course, but I think that shouldn't be missed!
