Today, at the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee (ACIP) the former president of the antivaccine Children’s Health Defense, founded by RFK Jr, will discuss the preservative Thimerosal. Which is no longer used in childhood vaccines since 1999 and multiple studies have shown it has no negative effects.

The US government has always funded basic scientific research, which has fueled progress. Federal grants lead to knowledge production that eventually gets turned into innovation.
No direct government funding of science = No progress.

This is not getting enough attention. Government purchase cards have been set to a limit of $1, which means that Federal workers cannot travel, or buy materials or pay for lab tests
