The scale of financial destruction around the globe, but especially in the US, has yet to be fully revealed. Don Trump’s incompetent actions and inane policies will go down in history. While the rest of the world regroups with new trading deals the US will suffer for years to come.

Attacking on multiple fronts has lead to the defeat of many famous tyrants. Trumps #tariffwar against so many countries will devastate the US economy. He leads America like a crazed cult prophet with his devout followers lining up to drink the cool-aid.

The American brand takes a huge hit today as Trump resets the rules of international trade. Countries around the globe will form new relationships and Americans will be left out in the cold. US tourism will slide. And American tourists won’t be welcomed in most other countries.

Mark Carney told Canadians that our old relationship with the US is over. Breaking up with a narcissistic, controlling partner is always the right decision.Tough to do, but the only way to a better future.

Could we have a better leader in place than Mark Carney to pull us through the Trump era? I don’t believe so! I’m proud to live in a country that has elevated a person with integrity, intelligence, and skills who will potentially lead Canada when the US can no longer be trusted.

Watching Trump speak to Congress was disturbing. While there were a few brave dissenters a large majority demonstrated heavy support for a President now allied with Russia who this morning withdrew intelligence support from Ukraine. Blood will be on the hands of all Americans.
