When I saw that Mike McDaniel said "it’s important that people understand you’re entitled to nothing in this world," I thought of my mom - she said "the world doesn't owe you a living, which was her way of teaching us not to have an "entitlement mentality" - wise words, that stick with me.

The Oakland Raiders were "Heidied" by NBC, but won 43-32 vs the Jets.
With just 1:05 left in the game, NBC switched it for the movie broadcast of "Heidi". The aftermath of this broadcast debacle led to a major change in professional football broadcasting.
