I enjoy hanging out with my dog. We like to hike, go on rides, walks in our neighborhood, and gardening.
I’m already elected to my local village board! If I can do it, you can too! Start by getting out and talking to your neighbors and attend some local government meetings. For example, nomination papers for local elections in Wisconsin start circulating in a few weeks.

People writing about the tr@dwife vibes are letting a certain party claim families. Conservatives don’t get to claim women because they want a family. Dems get married and have children too. Fits right into the narrative that Dems are angry single cat ladies…although that’s cool too. Big tent.

The self centered culture goes so far that I see a lot of people disregarding posted speed limits, rolling through stop signs in my suburban neighborhoods, skipping the orderly line at a checkout. Everyone is in such a rush and disregards the social norms we have in place to get ahead (?) by 5 mins

We live in suburban Dane County, Wisconsin. While our suburb isn’t as blue as parts of Madison, we are pretty blue. Our village of nearly 10,000 people does not have its own public library. We have a referendum to open our first library on the ballot April 1st. There is a big vote no crowd

I think I need to pick up a hobby again. I like to puzzle, knit, crochet, paint, embroidery, cross-stitch, craft, basic wood work like planters and window boxes, garden and do things outside when the weather is nice. My brain likes to get that dopamine from something new…any ideas?

Wisconsin didn’t expand Medicaid and plenty of people delayed care because of no/under insured which absolutely costs more in the end and leaves them with worse outcomes. Think stage iv cancer when it could have been curable earlier or preventable care instead of ER care
