North America, especially the US, is falling behind the rest of the world. Savings on the cost of fuel, reducing emissions, smoother and quieter drive, much lower maintenance costs... all of these and more are benefiting the rest of the world except for N.A.

the people are running out of credit. this could be the end of years of abundance when each year there was an increase in consumer credit from the previous year. if it's over, that's a serious recessionary impulse.
