Working in NC, earning the federal minimum wage, meant working multiple jobs — and I was just caring for myself.

Climate shouldn’t be a dirty word. As an AmeriCorps Alum and former Sunrise organizer my heart breaks at this news. Jobs created by this program will be lost along with the progress of restoring our planet and saving lives. This kind of work had the potential to prevent fires like those in LA.

Climate shouldn’t be a dirty word. As an AmeriCorps Alum and former Sunrise organizer my heart breaks at this news. Jobs created by this program will be lost along with the progress of restoring our planet and saving lives. This kind of work had the potential to prevent fires like those in LA.
You cannot afford to live in any city in this country on just the minimum wage.
