It’s been an excellent year for travel and I still have one more quick trip before the end of the month.

I still have hopes of finishing the top before the end of the year. One more lap to go. #tulapinknova #quilting #epp #quiltingsky

Testing out different gift bag styles. The green bag is a simple drawstring bag made with a fat quarter. The red bag is my favorite. The white bag was too fussy

Tula Pink Puff Quilt. The top is made with 10” squares, the hidden muslin squares are 9”. The backing is gray minky and I ended up hand tying the intersections with embroidery floss. #puffquilt #quilting #tulapinkfabric #quiltsky

This quilt top went together super nicely. The fabric does all the heavy lifting. The pattern is Gentlemen’s Agreement by new Leaf Stitches. #modernquilting #quiltsky #quilting

The quilt went together beautifully. I think it is very pretty.

The size is stupidly impractical. 81.5x81.5 in. Too small for a double size mattress. If I make it larger, I have to send it out to be long-armed.

Lesson learned: read sizes before buying. #modernquilting #quiltsky #quilting

A pair of “Three Yard Quilts”* that will start filling out the donation pile. The meerkat quilt was enlarged by a column since I had additional fabric. #quiltsky #threeyardquilts

I took #mxdomestic’s fabric weaving class last weekend and was able to turn it into an awesome pillow. Great class. Highly recommend. #modernquilting #quiltsky

Round three is complete. Next stage is a little more complicated but I’m still enjoying the quilt #quiltsky#tulapinknova #quilting #epp

Finished quilt. Lightly quilted with an emerald green minky back. The quilted can be folded to match various decors. Aka stealth mode. #modernquilting #quiltsky #quilting

This week’s update on a thousand+ of tiny triangles quilt. Still have another third to sew together before I do the final arrangement. I know already that the green to white transition is to harsh. #quiltsky #quilting #modernquilting

If I knew then, what I know now; I would have made the triangles bigger. This is approx 1/3 of the pieces. Using the MSQC pattern “Confetti” as the base. #quilting #modernquilting #quiltsky

I was organizing my scraps and realized that I had enough gray 2.5 inch strips to make this easy throw. #quiltsky #scrapquilting #quilting #modernquilting

I upgraded my quilting storage recently and I have been going thru ALL of my fabric and scraps and organizing them. I rediscovered these extra Irish chain blocks from a quilt made a year ago. I decided today was the day to make a baby/lap quilt out of them. #quilting #bonusquilt #pippashaw

I first saw Notre Dame 30 years ago and I had a bunch of art history knowledge fresh in my head. I knew what paintings to look for and felt the historical gravitas. Today, it felt bland and too clean. I miss the sooty ceilings of centuries of candles.

Finished the bear series. Four bears, four seasons. I used Elizabeth Hartman for the first three. The Spring panda bear was designed by Burlap and Blossom Patterns. (With a little extra borders to make it the same size as the others. #quilting #quiltsky
