Is there a relationship between the metadata publishers submit to Crossref and the submission systems they use? 🤔

We (w/ @msphelps.bsky.social) analyzed 153 publishers and 4 major systems to find out.

I can’t recommend the latest #jurassicpark movie. Even for a fan, this one is by far the worst of the sequel. Professionally I liked the #openscience subplot where Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey dedicate the dinosaur DNA samples to the public domain instead of a pharmaceutical company #CC0.

Meet Kingy! He has been a daily visitor to our backyard for the past few weeks! What a treat to have such a beautiful guest. #kingfisher #birdwatching #nature #vroegevogels

This excellent study by @najko.bsky.social confirms what many suspect for quite some time: "current levels of implementation of transformative agreements is insufficient to bring about a large-scale transition to full #openaccess". Published in #QSS @mitpress.bsky.social. doi.org/10.1162/qss_...

This was one of my favourite signs during the protests against the dramatic budget cuts on science and education on the Malieveld in The Hague last Monday.

Incredibly disappointed by the news that the Dutch government after decades of active support will cut back on #openscience by lowering the budget of OpenscienceNL. More next week after publication of the actual figures.
