A very obscure accessory this time. The Official Sega Dreamcast Modular Extension Cable!

Being the first console designed especially with online connectivity in mind, it was important to be able to run a phone cable to the Dreamcast over longer distances.

A retail promotional canvas for the North American Sega Dreamcast launch. The canvas measures 90cm × 60cm and has rods sewn in at the top and bottom. The image is the same on either side.

The first image here is a black & white press sheet hyping up the game. The second is full colour and relays some more detailed specs along with gameplay screenshots.

This is a press kit for Sega Sports' NHL2K on the Sega Dreamcast (slightly dinged on the one corner). Inside is a number of items including a sticker and small poster (not pictured) and this VHS tape and branded hockey stick-shaped pen.

Obviously wouldn't synergize with the current worldbuilding under way, but I would love to see an anthology of the tales in the Super-Star Holiday Special (including Paul Levitz' most reprinted story ever in his Legion of Super-Heroes contribution) or, more realistically, something along that vein.

A simple one today (because I'm exhausted):

This is a briefcase-style document carrier with Sega Dreamcast™ branding. It was used to hold marketing for the Dreamcast at the 1999 E3 launch. It's made of a sturdy cardboard with plastic handle and latch. Unfortunately, I don't have the promo material.

The pocket multi-tool comes in a black case with a Velcro closure and a belt loop, with this tag attached at the bottom.

I believe this item was acquired at E3 1998 where Microsoft and Sega were presenting together, but I'm not absolutely certain! So anyone with more definitive info, please share.

Time to revisit another obscure Sega Dreamcast promotional item!

This one is a pocket multi-tool co-branded with Microsoft® Windows®CE and Sega Dreamcast.

Days of the month are clustered with days of the week, following in sequence after the number of each month.

Anyone else have unusual Dreamcast memorabilia to share?

With the anniversary of the Sega Dreamcast release date at hand (November 27, 1998) it seems timely to share quirky and unique Dreamcast promotional items.

This for example is a Sega Dreamcast 1999 Calendar — using an appropriately unconventional method of displaying the days in a continuous strip!
