Oops making TikToks is too fun.

I walk along the…things that stop cars from driving too close to the footpath. It’s a balance challenge on fast forward, then I go back. The last step is the longest. I make it! In my army green crocs with climbing gibbets.

This blue boulder was fun, too. A reachy move and then some careful body position and direction/pull transfer. Feet-trust essential! The volumes are really grippy at Cutloose.

This was a fun purple climb. I did it twice but needed to project the beta with friends to work it out. And that reachy left hand move made me fall a few times. A really nice 4 at Cutloose on the Gold Coast. I’m still sore after all the other overhang climbing, lol.

A really fun day @supanovaexpo.bsky.social with @ifwgpublishing.bsky.social

Gave away 50 of these sneak peek (peak! haha) 👀 previews of my novel Staerstone. Just a few left!

It comes out next year. Can’t wait!

Lovely night out in the rain in Brizzy. I’m glad it cooled down.

Alt:

A Sandia mocktail with watermelon and lemonade. Rain on the footpath. Illuminated trees, markets and city lights in the background. At the restaurant Olé in South Brisbane.

Fun green boulder. Big moves to jugs! This feels super easy for the grade (4) but it does have slightly dynamic moves and weird feet newbies might find hard. (?)

Climbing a green indoor climb then down climbing the orange which is a fun one too.

Got this solar little water fountain to aerate my tadpole swamp and the warning says it might kill me if I use it too long or wrong. I’m doooomed.

Happy to (sort of) send this 6! Didn’t hold the top for long but I’m proud I used the volumes for my feet & matched feet on the higher one with no left hand hold.

Alt text:
Climbing a red indoor slab boulder. Tricky start with a sort of knee bar.
Small holds and the feet are fairly steep volumes.

Stranger Climbs! Core’s Halloween event. Pretty fun but I couldn’t stay long.

Core, Carrara

A black-lit climbing gym with glow in the dark art, full of dressed up people. The theme was Under the Sea so lots of beach babes (of all genders:) and sharks and scuba divers …

My little friend.
Not so little…

For the past few years I’ve helped the local frog population with suitable large bins full of water 💦 for their tadpoles. Now we have lots of frogs. Makes for some noisy nights…

Yesterday our power was off and on twice and it was pretty tiring. Glad I got the morning climbs in. Here’s some of the rope climb… I didn’t quite make the very top. The resting frog position was pretty comfy.

A nifty bit of top ropin’. Big moves to nice jugs and not a walk in the park but pretty easy.

On Belay, Burleigh.

Alt text: I’m climbing an indoor climb on yellow holds with blue & pink volumes. Some interesting footwork including high feet. Some big moves but very doable & flows pretty nice

Climbed (most of) a rope. This was fun and easier than the last time I did it. It’s around 40° C here today. Hot! 🔥

The pic didn't come through as a preview, so here you go...

This climb was fun! I flashed it but it took three more tries before I got a fairly smooth beta I was happy with.

Alpine, Robina

Alt: Climbing an indoor cave climb. The holds are massive yellow jugs. I’m wearing a tie-dye shirt and my hair is out and rather flouncy. At one point I ‘cut feet’ …

Awesome weekend of eating, editing & falling off things! Climbed the hardest climbs ever (right where I learned to lead 8 years ago!) and then did my first lot of edits for my novel *Staerstone* (IFWG Publishing). Wonder if I can still be climbing at twice this age? 🤔🤣

This was an interesting boulder because most of us found it reachy at some
point. The third last hold is super positive, so I skip
the shitty second last hold.

This was a noice hard climb!

Jacarandas don’t suck. Run around like an idiot, it’s fun.

Commentary 🤣:
Woohoo!
Yewww!
Yeah.
Nicely done.
I’m so high up, fuck.
Nice!
Kyu.
Good stuff, well done.
I’m drunk now. 🤣

This was really hard, the top especially, throwing for holds and having to latch them.

Love the vibe in my boulder gym, climbers are so friendly and supportive.

Mmm baked beans in toast for lunch. Does everyone all around the world eat baked beans? I’m pretty sure British do… I think they’re navy beans. 🤔

This climb took forever… It was slow and tricky, but I managed to flash it. It’s suddenly hot in Queensland so shirts off! The soundtrack is my friends talking about their short haircuts and what sort of face short haircuts suit. 🤣🥰
