Finished The Briar Club. It was another where had I heard the historical note first I would have liked it more. It wasn’t my favorite Kate Quinn book but I did enjoy it and had some favorite characters. I also enjoyed hearing about places I’d recently visited in DC. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #BookSky

As usual, Rainbow Rowell does not disappoint. I fall in love with her characters from close to page 1. Slow Dance was a charming story of first and only true loves that gave me all the feels. It ends in just the right spot, wanting more and happy to make up the rest in your head. 4/5. #BookSky

A quick read about Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer. I chose this read as she’s a ΚΑΘ.
I enjoy books that share a back story into people’s motivations and actions, especially those in power. She talks mostly of growing up and then her political life and does share guiding principles. 3.5/5

This was a cute palate cleanser between heavier books. It started out a bit slow, a bit ‘self published’ sounding but quickly turned into a story with endearing characters you were rooting for. I wish it went on a bit longer.

I just finished A Well Behaved Woman by Therese Anne Fowler. I feel like it was a typical progressive woman standing her ground, doing what is best for her family tome. I had more of an appreciation for it after listening to the author’s interview at the end. I’d say 3.75 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #readingwomen
