I’m undecided about whether to go for pixelfed or flashes. Was there something that attracted you more to flashes?

Oh wow, so cool! I really want to do this but i think it would interfere with Finnish language immersion. Would be so fun to surprise my dad with the language of his childhood!

I understand that museums are under increasing financial pressure, so why would they get an independent to do anything they have done internally? So they get people like me to do the bare minimum for maximal extraction.

Thanks for recommendation, I heard of pixelfed or similar then lost the reference! Will look into it and try to bring more over from insta. I even tried to instigate a shift away from WhatsApp in various groups as that’s owned by Meta. Feels like uphill struggle but worth pursuing the exodus!

The metaphor is almost too much, for White people, that the monstrosity you see in other people, those poor bald people with cancer who you take pity on, you are them. So when you are told you DO have cancer, it is an actual living nightmare 3/5

How many people suffer from the anxiety that they have cancer? It’s a kind of shameful anxiety (at least I was ashamed before I had a diagnosis) which I suspect is one of the most common anxieties that exists 2/5
