German Capture w/ “Mephiston” Camo Scheme.
Interesting enough this scheme was originally used to make the Tank look damaged and broken while they transported back to Germany for study. Hoping that Recon units would assume it was going for scrap.

Just cuz the “Internet Historians” like to quote simply history at people. Here is a scale model of the Japanese Type 97-Type 1 tank. Technically a Tank destroyer, it was a field assembled conversion of the Chi-Ha Chasis and a Type 90 75mm gun. Producing the Ho-Ni 2/3 Tank destroyers.

Just cuz the “Internet Historians” like to quote simply history at people. Here is a scale model of the Japanese Type 97-Type 1 tank. Technically a Tank destroyer, it was a field assembled conversion of the Chi-Ha Chasis and a Type 90 75mm gun. Producing the Ho-Ni 2/3 Tank destroyers.

The camo Pattern is designated “Fruhtüpfen-erwald“ which translates to: “Speckled-spring Forest”.
No official start date or papers on application but noted as early as April 14th 1943.
My reproduction is not exact but as close as I could come with photographs.
