I gotta make time to play Tear Ring and Berwick this year

I suppose it's better than her infecting the whole game but whew. You gotta be willing to take a few lumps along the way to come out of Kiseki retirement

That's definitely the biggest challenge for me too when writing GOTY posts. It's a lot harder to write positively about things than negatively, which is kinda sad. For my list this year I tried to hone in on something specific that I liked about each experience and that gave me some inspiration.

Awesome. The main reason I make these GOTY posts is to try and spread the love I have for the featured games, so if my post made you aware or more interested in any of these games, that makes me very happy to hear.

I play so many soulslikes that the final boss having at least 2 phases/health bars is just expected for me at this point and I actually like it, but yeah I get that

I actually enjoy the Radiance (and Absolute Radiance) but yeah Godhome was terrible

I don't think they agree considering one of the DLCs is a boss rush with every boss (including minibosses like the spirit warriors) in the game culminating in a harder version of the Radiance and if you lose at any point you start from square one

I like to talk about games I play, and I post a lot in a few discords, but I find it inconvenient to stop what I'm doing in-game to post a bunch of screenshots and impressions, and it would just distract me from actually playing the game. I dunno how livetweeters (or liveposters, as it were) do it.

Also I didn't talk about it at all on here but KCD was all I played for 3 weeks straight or so. Really interesting game. I'm excited to get around to KCD2 soon since it sounds like it doubles down and improves on everything I liked about the first game.

Not only does the theme bang, but giving the metal slime enemy its own battle theme is such an inspired choice in the first place
