Very pagan and pretty liberal, fond of cats, autumn weather, horror movies, and naps as needed. She/her.
Time flies, doesn't it? Anyway, have a happy and appreciative Labor Day!

I think I liked it better when the news was mostly boring.

Listening to that music.

Those copays add up fast.

There is nothing wrong with kindness or empathy. Neither is a weakness.

Going to rewatch "Wellington Paranormal."

Plenty of things that amaze and horrify me lately but the way they're treating Ukraine--this isn't how this country is supposed to be. I know why the people in charge are like this, but I can't believe how many regular folks seem to agree it's okay to take the side of the attacker over the victim.

Switched to old episodes of "Mock the Week." Definitely more cheerful because even when the news is bad you know how it worked out.

Nordic Noir in the morning. Why this cheers me up, I don't know. :)

If nothing else we are seeing where a lot of the loopholes are in the system.

Pretty much.

Why on earth is Ukraine not a part of the Russia-Ukraine peace talks?
February 19, 2025 at 10:55 PM
At least several times a week these days.

One reason I won't stop watching the news is that I know I'm going to need to know about the changes resulting from all this departmental breakage.
February 13, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Oh, I really need to stop watching the news. I won't. But I really need to.

Note to self to not read the BlueSky feed just before bed...

AND there is always a chance you might get to see a nice dog! :) (3/3)
February 8, 2025 at 12:48 AM
I hadn't seen him in a few years (because I haven't really watched CNN in a few years--it's changed a lot since it was my go-to) but when I heard he'd left CNN and how, I decided to check it out. (2/3)

I'm pretty happy with Reuters and AP as my go-to news sources (check any news bias chart to see why :)) but I've also been watching the Jim Acosta Show on Substack, which is more of an opinion option but informative and seems well sourced. (1/3)
February 8, 2025 at 12:46 AM
These days I try to limit my news intake to a few check-ins with Reuters; sometimes even that is too much. I do want to know things but damn.
February 5, 2025 at 8:54 PM
I watched the new "Jim Acosta Show" on Substack today. As a bonus, got to see his dog Duke!
