Here you have more photos. Sadly my camera is not the best. IRL you would notice all kinds of details and figures. I tried to make them visible here, but I couldn't manage to make it near the real deal.

One of the most beautiful scenes of all the coves. Sadly my camera is not that good so you will have to trust me. Here you can see a gathering scene in which a character (in the lower part) holding a long stick hit two trees to make the fruit/produce. It is thought to be oaks, so the figure is gathering acorns. One interesting feature is that the artist gave movement to the stick to represent animation drawing two ends to the stick like we do in comics. This scene is interesting because we don't usually find gathering scenes nor with this detail. On the right you can see a figure with a bow. That belongs to another scene

Yesterday I went to see the Rock Art in La Sarga. A series of coves with paintings from the Mesolithic and Chalcolithic Eras. It was quite magical.

It was so gratifying. The scene of deers running with all kinds of details and the gathering scene... These photos make no justice to the real thing.

Replica/Interpretation of one of the Faces of Turuñuelo. Its discovery led to a revolution in the field, because until that moment, scholars thought the Tartessian culture was aniconic.

Special mention to these cool pieces! The first may have been the end decoration of the arm of a throne or a carriage. I imagine a Tartessian Aristocrat sitting in a Throne with lion decorations all over it haha The second piece is an Acorn-shaped pendant!

Today I have been visiting the new Tartessos Room in the Archaeological Museum of Badajoz. What a wonderful job they did! And the guide was amazing! A lot of new pieces, interactive panels, visual media... A fresh breeze for the Museum!
One of the faces discovered in the archaeological site Casas del Turuñuelo. It represents the face of a woman wearing earrings of the Amorcillado type and fire like hairstyle. A great discovery because, until that moment, we had zero human representations of the Tartessians. This discovery helped understand better how they wore the jewelry found in previous sites. Essence burner found isolated. The top belongs to another essence burner but they have beer paired to illustrate how they worked. The top represents a deer with small holes to let the essence. The middle has three Astarte representations holding the burner. At the bottom, the burner is being held by three feline paws. Liquid recipient, possible for wine or any other important liquid. The fine made piece has, as the top, the head of a deer, and the liquid pours from its mouth. Found in Cancho Roano Archaeological Site. One of the end decorations of a horse bit. It represents the Despotes Hippos, Lord of Horses, with two faces dominating two horses. Found in Cancho Roano Archaeological Site.

After two decades, I could complete the collection of The Sims 1 expansions I started when I was a child. I'm happy I have the Complete version of this game of my Childhood ❤️

Today I entered in the video shop where I used to rent videogames when I was in highschool. It has been like nearly a decade and it looks the same ❤️ The surprise in my face when I saw this cartridge from one of my favourite games of all times ❤️

Today I wasn't expecting meeting my good friend Gudea of Lagash in Cáceres, specially in a museum dedicated to Andalusian daily life! So fun and interesting the Iraqi ambassador gifted so many cool Mesopotamian artifacts.
A replica? of a famous statue of Gudea of Lagash, a ruler of the Sumerian city of Lagash between 2144 and 2124 BC, displayed in the Arab House-Museum Yusuf al-Burch, Cáceres.

Today I have been visiting Cáceres in a cultural tour with @carnejo.bsky.social, @caronte.cafe and @silverzar.bsky.social. I had so much fun! The first photo is how we found the city in the morning and the last how we left it, so different haha

The room is filled with traditional clothings from North Africa and Middle East. The museum has a Roman Thermae in the basement and an incredible collection of Sumerian and Mesopotamian in general objects, gifted by the Iraki ambassador to the promoter of the museum, Yusuf al-Burch. The second greatest cistern in Europe, located in the basement of the Museum of Cáceres. Water is kept at a regular level but in the past, this cistern was full of water to supply water to the city.
