I simply do not think that (likely religious influenced) institutions should forcefully get to determine what I can and can't see. I am an adult. As long as nobody real was harmed in the production of something, it should be up to me to decide.

For me, I use GhostCMS and Magic Pages, hosted in Germany. The TOS for MagicPages lets me post literally whatever I want that isn’t expressly illegal (duh moment)

And with data stored in Germany, I’m immune to any dumbass US laws, like the ones that affect Patreon, Twitter, and so on.

If you can, choose a server hosted in a country with good laws so you never need to bow to the US bullshit laws. Germany, Sweden, Iceland, etc.

Just be careful not to use Wordpress(dot)Com or Wix, as both of their all-in-one hosting allows them to scan and delete your stuff.

Hosting sites like Siteground are called “shared” hosting, where one big server plays host to dozens of websites.

So although *sometimes* their TOS might not love…

At the moment I’m using Ghost, hosted on MagicPages. You could go old school though, and use Wordpress (Managed) on Siteground or GoDaddy.

Sure, you’ll need to pay like $80/year, but it’s worth paying IMO to have peace of mind.
