I first started poking the game back in Sept 2022, out of curiosity. But it got serious somehere mid-2024, with first line inserted at the last fall's end.

Absolutely. Unless warner bombs them with C&Ds, then you'll have to support them even more i guess.

What part of "under the hood" you didn't understand? Yes, the game is great on the outside, but inside there are lots of duct tape and hot-melt glue that holds it all together. Maybe you could've judged it by yourself, if you've started learning SH-2 assembly, you know...

I'm more concerned about the schematics on the board, judging by its look, it's an internal circuit of some ic, not the amateur electronics. And Yuina certainly knows what she's doing, she just has to occasionnaly sacrifice your life in the name of science, no hard feelings.

Without active cooling, some systems could be quite dust-proof, even if they're far from IP54. And the board is so integrated, feels like one of the last models. Is the RAM at the bottom, or did they actually squeezed it into the custom chip?

Nice idea! Searching these custom-encoded lines can become a real pita sometimes.

PC98's dithered art is a funny byproduct of enforcing games onto business machines, so i wouldn't compare them directly. But yes, these were the days of the Moore's law getting wild.
