I do NOT recommend reading Fed Paper 10 with your 12th grade Gov’t students when in a boot. I got so excited about what Madison was saying that I tried to skip/jump around, causing significant pain to my already damaged foot.
However, I definitely had my students attention!

A belated happy Father’s Day due to a trip to the mountains to the best man we know. A man who loves us more than he hates camping, even when the trailer has no power which means no shower for any of the people. @coachshawb.bsky.social , you are the perfect everything for us.

Year 17 is complete.

Senior celebration with the best team is done, grades are submitted, classroom is packed because we are moving to a new building!

Side note — if any educator has suggestions for how to accurately detect or prevent student AI use, I would love to hear about it.

Displaying America’s Rise to Power Museum exhibit construction has started!
Students chose topics within the theme, conducted research, and are now building exhibits to teach visitors about their topics. They will also write a paper analyzing how their topic contributed to America’s rise to power.
