Currently proofreading a manuscript that has so many egregious factual errors I’ve started to wonder if the author used Wikipedia and AI search results as their source and I’m genuinely baffled by how it got to the proof stage in such a state.

COVID-19 hit when my only bebe was in kindergarten. Throughout G’s elementary education, he’s endured a pandemic, virtual school, hybrid school, teacher turnover, along with the normal growing pains. Tomorrow he graduates from the 5th grade & all I keep thinking is, “We f***ing did it.” 🥂

This was just posted by @tbretc.bsky.social on another platform. The Chicago Sun-Times obviously gets ChatGPT to write a ‘summer reads’ feature almost entirely made up of real authors but completely fake books. What are we coming to?

My new part-time job is finding an orthopedic surgeon who will address the root cause of my knee pain that also accepts my insurance.
Since it’s not a “sexy” problem, like a sports injury, there’s probably two in the entire state. Sigh.
