Masters student at the University of Saskatchewan. Interested in Atlantic environmental and labour history. Currently focused on Caribbean Ginger.
I recently released a new NER model for Early Modern English/Atlantic History. Testing shows it gets better results than any paid LLM, BERT, and spaCy while running on only 4GB VRAM. Take a look and see what you think. Any feedback would be appreciated! github.com/polayj/earlymodernner

How long would your commute take in 1680? Mine would be about a day and a half.
