With the ongoing decline of the US, it’s a rare comfort that Jiffy muffin & cornbread mixes are still around and still ~$1-2 a box. Perfect to have a few boxes in your pantry for when you get a midnight muffin craving.

One of my best (worst?) recent bodge jobs is this monstrosity token guide for our SafeCracker. The width was created using double stick tape and some of our souvenir post cards. Then the channel is held in place with copious amounts of tape. It ain’t dumb if it works.

This is not good. It tastes like someone put 2-4 drops of berry lemonade in a can of flat water. The only reason I finished it was that it cost me $4 and I needed the caffeine.

I always cut out the motor cover on the back to improve air flow to the motor. On some models, this also allows access to lubricate the rear bearing.

The PPM is around the corner from a great donut shop. Occasionally they drop off a box of leftovers that I give out to members. Usually a blessing, today it’s a delicious curse.
