I do also wonder as to whether a likeness to the Ribbentrop - Molotov pact is likely, whereby Russia will get to keep the land it illegally invaded and the US will demand access to Ukraine's rare materials for a maintained peace. Ukraine again, likely getting no say in the matter... A betrayal?
