Today brings the annual meeting of the Social History of Medicine editorial board and OUP. Just flipping through the big dictionary with lots of tiny print. A throwback to when you couldn't consult the full version regularly unless you were at the library. I use the digital version almost daily...

No lunchtime walk today, but my walk onto @universityofessex.bsky.social campus this morning was lovely. Monet-esque poppies, waving daisies, whispering poplars and chatty jackdaws.

A gorgeous day for a lunchtime walk by the river. Butterflies, birdsong, and cow parsley, amid the heavy scent of brambles and hawthorn blossom.
