President Biden: Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy.

On my street there are 38 houses. On this street are two fire hydrants.

All those houses that were burned down in the LA area… how many fire hydrants were there nearby? Probably not one hydrant per house. Probably closer to one per nineteen, like my street.

There is a difference between “talking about politics” and “talking politics”. “Talking about politics” is talking about how politics works. “Talking politics” is expressing your opinions, feelings and beliefs on political issues.

Now that the broligarchs have won the election and are about to take the White House, it’s worth taking a look back at what this dangerous influence on our government could mean for the nation and our democracy.

Every year on January 1, I start a new what I call a watchlist. I pick a new movie to start with every year, from my physical media collection, then I pick somebody from that movie and watch another movie with them in it. Then watch that movie and keep going.
