Thank you! I love art history and fashion history, but I wanted to study them on a deeper societal level. This was really affirmed during my FH 1 course because class and how that played into who wore what was a big part of the lessons. It was a lot deeper than memorizing what was popular and when.

celebs as guests with the agreement that they wear the designer and act as a brand ambassador for the event. unless the person receives an permanent open invite. Even then donating is highly encouraged. It’s also not a closed event just expensive bc it’s a charity.

a lot of ppl don’t~ they think it’s a party but it’s a charity event bc unlike the met museum the costume institute is funded solely on public donations. And with funding for museums being cut their funding is even more at risk. Also celebs don’t buy their tickets designers buy tickets and invite
