I'm less worried about biz/tech events: the tools you mention & linkedin for sharing works ok for those imo. More thinking about local non-commercial events like "weekly hobby group hangout in local pub" or "folk dancing jam" that rely on the network of ppl

Now that I think of it, I'd argue those use cases have subcategories with varying implications. But yeah, the social graph seems to be the pain point :/

So, if anyone has good ideas for feasible alternatives for events, I'd be interested! For me, that feels like the hardest thing to replace
