We’ve spent too long trying to read between the lines when it comes to KS. I’ve gone through many versions of ‘he’s being smart/he doesn’t really believe what he’s saying/he’s moving the politically possible/he’s pro-EU, we just have to wait’.
The simpler explanation is as you said, he’s a coward.

I’ve always thought of Yvette Cooper as being supremely competent.
Is this the best she can do? Are we going to spend the rest of this parliament hoping that the govt are just *pretending* to be stupid?
