I got to be a goliath rogue for a live improv RPG show in front of ~40 audience members this weekend!

My costume had a lot of pieces, but the key items were my 6” platform boots that made me the tallest person in the room at 6’4”.

Met a new Uchinaanchu (Indigenous Okinawan) friend for tea and Thai food last night. Obviously, we had to take a picture of our hajichi (traditional women’s hand tattoos).

At the Seattle Scottish Highland Games all day today performing 30 minute plays about Scotland and sword fighting my troupe mates.
Hiromi dressed in a white blouse, green dress, and Scottish earasaid (women’s version of a great kilt). The earasaid’s tartan is the Pride of Scotland, a tartan designed for people who don’t have a connection to Scotland but would like one — perfect for actors.

It was one of my favorite projects to helm and had the best-looking cover I’ve overseen.

It was a great success and a ton of fun for everyone! We’re definitely gonna do it again, so more folks who enjoy roleplaying, improv, and audience participation can have fun with us!

A gothic plate crop top!

My cuirass is now 3 pounds lighter, 3 inches shorter, won’t inhibit kicks, and most importantly won’t bruise the fuck out of my legs anymore.
Hiromi is holding the front of a Maximillian plate cuirass to their chest. It has intricate ridges and fluting. Two steel bands that used to be the bottom of a Maximillian plate cuirass, next to the rest of the cuirass and the Dremel tool that Hiromi used to cut the rivets off.

I’m quite pleased with this almost-entirely improvised spear v. sword fight between me and Dame Anorra. It has flow, moments to breathe, and the bitchiest curtsy I’ve ever seen.
