Even though I’m not established at all in the ytt community, growing up as a singer on Smule who has learned songs using ytt covers as references, I feel so much gratitude towards y’all.

And I’d love to, one day, give back by hosting some sort of tour for y’all to do cool stuff in.

Once I put my own spin on a song, it’s hard to hear the song without the little unique detail anymore.

For instance, the “maa, ikka” 🤣

My bf has been conditioned to listen out for this in other covers, so the disappointment sets in pretty quickly LOL

I think this is one of my most memorable arrangements. To keep me playing, back in HS I’d record clarinet covers through Smule. I’d learn songs and their harmonies by ear, as well as come up with my own original “adlibs” or backing instrumentation sections.
