Afternoon MJ & all. Roofer finally came out today. Turns out we did have an issue that caused problems so he’s going to help defray ceiling repair costs.

Decided to get an actual online course for my new hobby. This was my 1st attempt on canvas. I needed more paint for sure. I like the colors.

Morning MJ & all. The fog cleared so we could see Sandia’s fresh dusting of snow. My roofer ghosted me last week so touched base this AM. Told him I don’t want to spend 100’s on fixing the patio ceiling if there’s an underlying issue. He apologized & said he’d be here tomorrow. 🤞 Stay warm everyone!

My girl left 4 weeks ago. First time in 40 years I’m dogless. Hugs to you & all who have paw prints on their hearts.

Morning MJ & all. I haven’t ironed in years & still have a real ironing board & iron. My dryer has a wrinkle remover setting if I need to freshen something up. Did my 2nd pour yesterday. Thinned the paint, tried a slightly different method. I’m loving the unpredictability aspect of this craft.

Morning MJ & all. Behold my very first acrylic pour on a 6x6” tile. I used a metallic paint which didn’t show up until it dried. Not bad for my first attempt but it was waaay to thick so more thinning needed. I have a bunch of tiles left over from our original house build so great practice material.

Morning MJ & all. Didn’t see any color in the night sky last night but the clouds were pretty cool yesterday afternoon. Waiting for our roofer to check on things. We had more damage to our covered patio ceiling after it was replaced so want to determine if there’s an issue before we repair it.

Morning MJ & all. Fun tip re heated seats. Make sure there’s no spandex in your pants. Years ago my heated seat melted the seam of mine!
Painting was fun even though the outcome wasn’t what I planned. Turns out tempera paint needs thinning too. I’ll be ready next time. Off to the casino later.

Morning MJ & all. Decided to add some geckos over my plant. It reminds me of Darby, who loved chasing them in the yard.

Going to see the boys later. We’re going to do tempera paint pouring with funnels & strainers. I’m so excited to do this with them. They have no idea what grandma has in store. 🥰

It’s been 3 weeks since Darby left us & we’re slowly adjusting to the fact that we’re dogless for the first time in 40 years. We removed the dog crates from our bedroom which left open spaces. Decided to replace her favorite crate with something colorful & alive to remind me of her big personality.

Morning MJ & all. Picked up my pot from HD. Was debating whether it needed a stand but that coleus plant was a cutting 5 months ago & think it’ll grow even bigger now. Going to paint with the boys tomorrow. Mom has to fly (ugh) out of town for work so we’re going to create something magical for her.

Morning MJ & all. Glad your brother & SIL had such a good time in our beautiful state. Having you as their host/guide made it all the more memorable for them and you.

Moved most of my outdoor plants inside for the winter. My portulacas were blooming all in yellow. Now some are bright red & orange.

Happy 🎃👻💀 MJ & all. Glad company arrived safely. Don’t forget they’re probably on east coast time which will be further complicated by time change Sunday. Got our dog crates packed up & now our bedroom looks huge. Got a cute cabinet. Trick or treating with the grands tonight. Have fun everyone!

Morning MJ & all. My hot streak continued at the casino yesterday. Left up $300. My butterfly costume cape arrived yesterday. Looking forward to trick or treating with my little superheroes.

Morning MJ & all. Spent a wonderful day with the boys & their parents. They’re gaining some independence which allows the grownups to visit too. Pumpkin painting was a blast! They were both so focused & did a great job. I was inspired while we were watching one of their videos & went to town.

Oh Alex I’m so sorry. We went through this with our 13 year old this weekend. She was terrified of vets so we were trying to get someone to come to the house but by the time someone got back to us, she had passed. I’m grateful that we had her on our bed in between us. She also declined fast. Hugs

RIP Darby. I’ll miss you forever and will see you at the bridge. 💔🐕🌈

She’s gone 😭😭😭😭😭

Be safe out there. Darby still isn’t eating and if this is her end, I want to be by her side. I donated, hung my sign on my garage and will be watching coverage from independent media sources all day! Stay safe, have fun and a sincere thanks to all!

Lucky you!!! We live in Placitas (beyond the village) so we’re happy seeing dots in the distance. One year though the wind came up suddenly and they flew right by! It was fabulous! People living here for decades said it was a first.

What a great shot! That Arabelle got up in the air was an extra treat. We watched the livestream on YouTube and it was picture perfect. Not sure if the grands are going this year. If they do, we’ll go with. Nothing beats experiencing the fiesta through the eyes of a child.

Made this from leftovers this week. Stir fried leftover pasta, shrimp, spinach and mushrooms sautéed in butter and a splash of white wine.

Morning MJ & all! A gorgeous cool breezy morning today. Rain chances low but happy not being in the 90’s anymore. Paid the roofer yesterday. He’ll be back in 6 months to check on it. After weeks of growing vines, my morning glory bloomed. Enjoy the cooler weather. Hope rain comes where it’s needed.

Morning MJ & all! Upset about the backlash the trans community will face & the lack of help for people struggling with mental health issues is being exacerbated by this cruel administration.

Roof had a tiny seam that wasn’t sealed, now fixed. Did great at Sandia casino. That’s pennies not $ fyi.
