Then I realized one of the cells in the spreadsheet had old data in it and when I updated it the FAR was under by .02 and everything is fine.

All the while putting off how I would break this to the client and what this mistake would do to our relationship - I just couldn’t face that while he being productive.

I double checked the numbers for the permit filing and found that they were over by .01 (a wide margin in the residential world) and then spent a dread-filled hour trying to figure out how to make it work

Today it was a Floor Area Ratio calculation that I did nearly a year ago and now is planned to begin construction next week.
