She/Her. Just trying to be the best friend, neighbor, wife, mom & genealogist I can be. Not always in that order.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

Anytime you use an Ancestry hint or FamilySearch Full Text to find a record, you are using AI. I do not feel that needs to be disclosed all the time though. Often, it does not matter how you found the record, as long as you analyze it properly.

I've been busy over the last several weeks researching and writing about an ancestor. I'm currently working on a narrative style of writing and am finding it is hard. If I'm being honest, I enjoy the research more than the writing.
But, I still write every day. #Genealogy #FamilyStories

Facebook reminded me that 10 years ago Ben Franklin's World hit 100,000 downloads. 10 years later, the podcast has surpassed 13 million downloads, which happened last month.

There is a need and desire for high-quality history.

Disgusted, angry, sad, and scared that elected and non-elected people connected to the White House are selling the U.S. to the orange guy's owner. Then there are the elected lemmings in Congress that keep applauding all this crap. The spillover into parts of all states shows too many more lemmings.

Haven't posted in a while as I have been transcribing a probate file from an Indiana 1844 estate. Trying to figure out why it took 20 years to settle the estate. The decedent seemed to be involved in several lawsuits and claims before he died. It's helping me grow his FAN club! #Genealogy
