I changed an ao3 setting to email copies of my comments to myself ages ago, and then I searched my email inbox for subject lines containing "comment you left on", filtered by date and checked the number of search results. It's easy to do! but only once the ao3 preference has been changed

And then for just 2024, I have the monthly counts. The most comments I left back-to-back was 8 each on a skk pirate fic and a skk omegaverse fic 🙏

I realised I could count the number of comments I left on fics last year as a year in review kind of thing. And then I realised actually I can count it for every year in the past 5 years (damn it's been a long time)
