Defending Mai is gonna be a full-time job... like she isn't evil she is a teenage girl figuring out her first relationship and how to respect boundaries and consent. I have my own criticism of the writing, but she isn't some unredeemable demon. She just made some massive mistakes

Ive made jokes about Watanare being yuri wishfufillment slop before, but honestly there is a lot of depth and great character writting, if im being completely serious, i dont think its slop or lowbrow. Sure, it has some steamy stuff and is a comedy, but it's actually just written really good

Bad Girl was fun, but i already know how amazing and well written watanare gets from the novels, so nothing can really come close to how much i enjoy seeing it animated. Although i wouldn't really call it a turn your brain off kinda series even tho its a romcom
it's ok to hate me for this but i thought bad girl ep 1 was a more entertaining stupid turn-your-brain-off yuri comedy than watanare ep 1 ...
