I have little confidence in people like Schumer and Durbin. Jeffries has been a disappointment thus far. The seem to think that people being upset with the administration translates into automatic votes. It doesn’t and they need to stop sitting on their hands.

The more infighting that people on the left and center do, the more divided people are and the more that right wing tactics are working. Supporting someone doesn’t mean needing to attack those more likely to vote for someone you support. Remember Sun Tzu perhaps. The right wing certainly does.

55 years ago the National Guard was deployed on the Kent State campus and four students were killed and 9 others wounded. Ohio officials know first hand what can happen when the Guard is used inappropriately and are sending the to DC anyway. There is an infection in our politics not just in the WH.

I had an opportunity to work with a group of young people a little over 25 years ago who used their regular meeting time once a month to go out in the community and clean a bit. They also started change simply by smiling at others and saying hello as they passed on the sidewalk. Change happened.

Kind of begs the questions of who wanted a serial trafficker able to work, why, and what they expect to get from her working, as well as what work they want her to do.

Workers in 20 states who get minimum wage and live by themselves are below the federal poverty level. 17 of those are red states, 3 are swing sets and none are blue. Tell me again how voting red is good for those states. Inflation just went up. Food and gas prices went up after the election.

As much as I want to see a big blue wave in the midterms, I believe a lot of democratic politicians need to start demonstrating that they have the courage to actually do something and work together to protect the people of this country from the blatant bs that is going on, or it won’t happen.
