Maayaa namaarnu hola - don’t let the love die.
Lovers Falls.

An image from a place under threat. Wildfires ignited by dry lightning strikes ( an increasing phenomenon of climate change) are currently burning in this area, the Tarkine, in Tasmania’s NW. Not sure if this spot has gone at this point.

An old favourite from a morning completely alone ( probably due to the extremely strong winds) in the Mesquite Dunes, Death Valley.

Cradle of Fagus.

I made this image at dawn above Dove Lake during the autumn turning of the Fagus : our largest native deciduous tree, nothofagus gunii.
This year, I’m guest photographer up there and presenting on two evenings in late April.
What would you like to learn about if you were there?

Some places capture our souls. We leave, but part of us never leaves, and we always yearn to return. For me, this is the Himalaya. Here are a few images from wandering in Ladakh.

Ah, love that place. I spent a week running a photo workshop from Helsal IV a few years back. Treasure the time I was there. This is Mount Rugby from the Celery Top Islands down in Bathurst Harbour.

G’day,
I’m a landscape and conservation photographer from Tasmania ( bottom of the world, turn right), who loves wilderness, wild things and cultures that still live in deep relation to those things.
Here are a few images of Tasmanian wild places.
Looking forward to connecting and sharing.
