Love that! I was on the Atari (1040 STE no less!) and dread to think how many hours I spent aimlessly jumping about the galaxy.

I remember Frontier: Elite 2 came with the regular manual, plus a 'gazetteer' which was like a tourist guide to different star systems *and* a book of sci-fi short stories. Classic.

At uni I didn't have a bed, just a mattress on the floor and would sometimes wake up with slug trails across my pillow. I ended pouring a circle of salt around my bed like a pagan ritual every night.

Watching Blade (slightly underage) at a sold-out midnight screening at the cinema I worked at, with all my friends. When Blade catches his shades as the music kicks in, before the last fight, everyone cheered. And this was in England, so that was most unusual. A perfect cinema moment.

Great thread, thanks! I want to get something for the 8yo to break him away from minecraft. He's a sensitive little thing though and can't handle peril of any degree - do you think this would be OK?
