How to access your direct messages - find the speech bubble ,(...) at the bottom-center. After selecting an account, you can direct message (DM) them by selecting the speech bubble ,(...) on their profile page. If you don't see it there, it's because they have DMs turned off or limited to users that they follow.

Guide for Making Posts on Bluesky

When making a new post, you have many options:

Add content warnings for NSWF or spoiler posts:

Once you add an image / video / gif, a “Labels” option will appear.

Customize who can reply to your posts:

Click “Anybody can interact”.

When you’re making a post, you can change who can reply by clicking “Anybody can interact”. If you add a photo, video, or gif, you can add a content warning Label to it. You have many options for who you allow to reply. “Everybody” or “Nobody”, or combine options by allowing anyone you tagged, users you follow, your followers, or users in a specific list. In this example, you can see ‘Users in “Twst Yumejoshi”’ which is one of my Lists. Anyone on this List would be able to reply. Label NSWF or spoiler posts. For NSWF, i.e. “Adult Content”, you can put Suggestive, Nudity (i.e. not sexual nudity), or Adult (R18). You can also select Graphic Media (for violence, gore, anything that might trigger someone).

Intermediate Guide to Setting up Feeds: Use Lists

Set up a List of Users to add, and a List of Users to filter.

First, create two lists on your account.

Click "Lists" then "+ New".

People can see if they’re on a list, so name them carefully so users know what the list is about.

Find “App Password”:

- Go to “Settings”

- Go to “Privacy and Security”

- Click “App passwords”

- Click “Add App Password”

- The random name is fine. Click “Next”

- You’ll be given a random password. Copy it onto a spreadsheet.

- Enter it into “App Password” to login to Skyfeed.

Advanced Guide to Setting up Feeds: Add single users

Feeds only show 3 days worth of posts, and are limited to keywords.

Adding a user list overcomes the keyword limitation, but only for users that post exclusively for your fandom, and posts are still limited to 3 days.

(A) Test each keyword to see what posts show.
In this example, I could not use “TADC” because too many un-related posts appear.

Instead, I changed it to three formats: “#TADC”, “TADC ”, and “ TADC” (#TADC|TADC | TADC)

Put “TADC” by itself into the RegEx box, and you can see what kind of posts that keyword will pull. That’ll give you an idea of what you can and can’t include. An example of how modifying the format of the keywords can prevent unwanted posts from appearing.

Click “+ Add Block”

Add another “RegEx” block.

Select “Image Alt Text” and “Link” so all three Targets are green.

Check the “Invert” box. Now everything in this block will be removed from the feed.

Change:

RegEx: Add keywords. Place the “|” symbol (the vertical bar, not L or i) between keywords to separate them. Spaces matter.

Select “Image Alt Text” under Target. Both “Both Text” and “Image Alt Text” should be green.

(D) The most important words:

Sometimes, a very important word for a fandom will still overlap with some other posts. In that case, I’ll use the Invert Regex box to eliminate overlapping words.

For example, “Madoka” is too important to the Madoka Magica feed to modify or eliminate.

So I’ve learned to use both “Genshin” and “原神” for the Genshin Impact Feed, plus the English and Japanese versions of the character names.

Fans will post in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Thai, you name it - I’ll use all the words I can find so everyone is included.

Sometimes I find a Rosetta stone post - someone who posts tags in multiple languages.

For example, this post has Genshin impact tags in both English and Japanese.

so I looked for other ways to pull in Jax content.I was able to use (#jaxx|jaxpom|TADC.+jax|jax.+TADC|jaxtadc). There’s no need to use #tadcjax because that’s redundant with #tadc.

In the end I used:

#jaxx|jaxpom|TADC.+jax|jax.+TADC|jaxtadc|#pomni| pomni |#ragatha

I checked them: pomni|ragatha|jax

Without hashtags or other tricks, they pulled in too many unrelated posts. So I decided to use hashtags with them based on the other posts I saw.

This didn’t work for #jax which was still too common,
