A *lot* of kids with high GPAs, strong extra curricular activities etc are rejected from the UCs.

So I suppose I would caution people in over interpreting the loss that, for example, a woman can't win or it was all about sexism. @jerusalem.bsky.social has been making this point that women are electable. And also just look downballot. Women win.
