Not a lottery winner but was very grateful for an early birthday present as the light came through the chamber this morning & we were connected with the ancients. Screenshot of the moment the chamber floor was lit 🌟

This is the chamber at Newgrange, Co. Meath where for one time each year at Winter Solstice, the light aligns & moves through a light box. For 3 minutes or so this morning, thus happened. This shows the light, seen on the floor of the tomb. Happy Solstice All.

Lost myself in Art for an hour yesterday at the Lavery exhibition in The National Gallery of Ireland. This exhibition concentrates on his travels & I'll share more photo's here if I figure out how to do a thread 😀

Lost count of how many times I saw this band in my youth! They were as great as ever, last night in the Pavillion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire 🌟

Breakfast run in Lisbon 🌞
A woman is settling up her stall in Lisbon. We see a red cloth with her wares displayed. Catching the sunlight are hanging glass chandeliers. The inside of a Café in Lisbon where the speciality is freshly baked 'Pastéls de nata' - small custard tarts. We see the tins overhead, which are moving around the ceiling. People are having their breakfast. The tiling on the floor is blue & white. The square near us here in Lisbon with beautiful Art Deco architecture and an impressive statue in the middle. The sun is shining. A beautiful tiled view of Lisbon from long ago. The tiles are blue & white. This is the interior of the Café I mentioned before.

@sheena-mck.bsky.social chose Silver for this weeks Colour Photo Challenge so I've played with Éamon O' Doherty's 'Crann an óir' and turned it silver 😉
A sculpture in front of the old central bank, Dublin, Ireland. It is by sculptor Éamon O' Doherty. It is called 'Crann an óir' in Irish which means golden tree. I have submitted it for a colour challenge and the colour this week is silver so my version is black & white.
