Ha! Very basic and great spot! I imagine MS Word 97 didn’t automatically convert hyphens to em dashes. God I feel old. Used to switch between MS Word and WordPerfect 🫣

How come I never noticed this? Obviously keen to be clear they weren’t hyphens, but maybe didn’t know how to do an em dash online?

I was at this Fulham match - excellent! Was a great time to be a season ticket holder. I also missed that Tortoise were playing but did see them the first time and I think I must have interviewed them as I spent the day with them going to a greasy spoon cafe and then someone’s flat before the gig

I have finally made it into the office and I can confirm there are no windows in the tower rooms on the fourth floor (one one the fifth floor though!). However you can see Big Ben from the drum balcony

I can’t believe I missed this! The story is fantastic. My favourite 4th floor story is when I walked up the stairs alongside the bird of prey and his handler as he has to be dropped from the roof to catch mice and pigeons as he can’t fly upwards

I’m now starting to feel like I’ve erred but I’m still not completely bought until I go there myself (and dying to know how you awarded yourself £1m!)

Somewhere I have a photo of the wall which is the view through the window on the fourth floor ‘overlooking’ Patliament Square. There are some great rooms with views up the stairs in the turrets and on the Whitehall side but they’re bookable on Matrix as the fifth floor. I’ll have to go and check
