Today I had to cancel a $500,000 solar project that has been a year in the making with design, permitting & financing due to price escalation from tariffs. The effects are real, & are happening. Attached is the email & supporting docs from our contractor asking for immediate payment. Redacted

Don’t read too much into that track posted above. This depiction of the radar data that was posted anonymously on X is much more accurate than the janky ADSB data from FlightRadar24. The FAA system blends radar & ADSB & corrects for altitude. As a retired controller, it’s chilling.

Our beloved central landmark in Chico, CA, Bidwell Mansion burned overnight. It is difficult to overstate how much of our city’s history and identity is tied to this place. It is the central hub of downtown, the university and our iconic park-which also burned in the Park Fire. Sad day in Chi-town😩
