Umstead State Park, NC. Started our 6.2 mile hike at 75 degrees and 2 hours later we ended the hike at over 90 degrees. Good thing we started early! Enjoy the pics. #umsteadstatepark #loblollytrail

A cool place to explore we discovered this little park in Elizabeth City, Charles Creek Park. It has a small playground, picnic shelter, and a petite board walk perfect for kids. Be sure to stop by Kitchen Kuriosities too, a N.C. Certified Destination Business. Enjoy the pics. #elizabethcitync

Summit trail at Elk Knob State Park, NC. Lots of Trillium in white, pink and red. Remember Do Not pick the flowers. Enjoy them and leave for others. Also, leave a few bucks in the Iron Ranger to help the park out.

Raven Rock State Park was a rainy hike this morning but some fun images. The Mountain Laurels look to be getting near the end of their bloom time. Oh, and besides a whole lot of birds we saw a Box Turtle.
