Big thumbs up to the southern end of Bute. New bit for me. Here's a few photos from the weekend.

Picturing the Lib Dem editorial meeting:
- We won here last time. Why won't people believe our bar chart?
- Why don't we take a quote from somebody that people can believe and trust more than us. They'll listen to that!
- Who is a more trusted source than a Lib Dem graph though?
- The Sun?

Scottish Greens! Internal election emails are out. Remember to vote. I voted for @ross-greer.bsky.social cos he's got the best ideas to save the planet and stop fascism and is the best to put them into action.

Most importantly, this info board in Balmaha looks like it has a giant waterskiing squirrel on the Loch.

Few photos from the weekend, from Drymen over Conic Hill and down through the crowds to Balmaha, then a quieter route back through the forest.

Nice of the DPEA to play their part in protection of squirrel privacy by redacting their locations.

But boo these things. That's my reminder to stock up on plastic bags in my back pack to dispose of this stuff.

Loch Ard was looking beautiful this morning.

Just been browsing The Face Book and this fascinates me. Don't think I've seen it in UK politics before. A party struggling in the polls so much they're promoting how much money rich people are still giving them instead.

Was a huge fan of the Trossachs Explorer bus that was piloted last year.
Great news from the National Park Board that it's back this year, with a new operator and extended to Drymen which should be handy.
Looking forward to a few days leaving the car at home and heading the the Trossachs!

Here's a better view of the actual hall.

Jam packed public meeting in Balloch with objectors to the Scottish Government's #flamingoland #lochlomond nonsense. People are very angry and demanding to be heard.

Hospital appointment this morning (routine, don't worry!). Could have taken a bus, or leave 5 minutes earlier and ask the Go Jauntly app to find me a nice route. Pleased I did the latter.

Thoughts on why these sheep were gathered in a line like this?
Woo people would no doubt point to the (probably not prehistoric) standing stone in the field.

Ah yes, the Alba candidate who was encouraging us all to ignore the fear-mongering wokester government and venture out during Storm Éowyn. Alba only stay at home if it develops in the tropics. Bet he gets fewer votes than the number of trees lost in the ward.

Lower down, this sign is genuinely horrendous for a well- used route. Initially thought it might be left over from lockdown, but I'm pretty sure it's a lot newer- possibly brand new.
(Tagging @ramblersscotland.bsky.social FYI!)

First time I've tried the side route up Dumgoyne and I like it a lot more than the direct one. Worth the extra half hour. And speaking of worth it- the views!
